the information field and the social field

In previously posted notes, I made reference to these two concepts as potentially worthy of some interest/study.

The idea is to construct a field theory of information and its exchange as an intrinsic property of nature, as well as a theory of social interactions analogous to field theories that describe the fundamental interactions among particles in the universe.

That is to construct such theories formally with the notion that both "information" (more on it later, hopefully, or maybe what a given object tells us about itself)) and society are not that different from the fields where fundamental forces of nature are mediated among particles by bosons.

The question is what mechanics should such theoretical field theories describe? Social interactions and intrinsic information (maybe what a given object tells us about itself) are  typically regarded as abstract entities, not usually or readily describable by field theory and its mathematical formulations/formalisms.

And yet previous notes on information waves may yet serve as a kind of entrance or prolegomena into the quantification and modeling of social processes.

Society is a real observable natural object or set of objects. Its interactions and its rules are usually described and modeled statistically - a good sign for the theory i have in mind. But to my knowledge society has not been widely studied using the methods of field dynamics, positing fields of potentials and gauge charges that affect the actions and movement and other developments within societies.

Unlike society the somewhat "novel" (to me) concept is that of the information field. It is one that exceeds a simple ontological fact such as that existence entails somehow letting everything else know you are there.
It posits a field not of the basic physical information in the universe, but one of the abstract and complex ideas and thoughts that are pertinent to our human thought. What one might call our creative intellectual activity.

It is one (a field) where interaction includes getting from it insights and hints of discovery, a sort of collective unconscious and information/knowledge clearing house. Except that its insights are usually correct.
it may contribute heavily to what we call our "intuition"  - To use another term from analytical psych. - and to the history of scientific discovery.

As I recently found out, some Russian scientist or pseudoscientist (to add name, dates later) had thought up the same sort of concept and he called it the noosphere, from the Greek "nous" or mind.

The "mind" figures heavily/often in the medieval pseudosciences, particularly in spiritual theory and even theology. For instance in the cosmologies and cosmogonies of the oriental mystics, the "mind" (Ar. `Aql) figures as one of the higher and first spheres to come into existence. European hermeticists refered to the sphere following that of the Divine as one of "intelligences" ( a realm of angels and daemons) that mediate between the Divine Exemplary and our nether realm of physical exitence.

I should then look up what that Russian figured for the noosphere, who iiuc likewise posits an independent (so far) metaphysical knowledge store that feeds human knowledge and with which humans may communicate. An idea not dissimilar to the perspective of religions. I should also collect and re-order my previous notes on the information and social gauge fields.

A distinction should be made between two concepts of information. The one described above refers to a knowledge store and communication medium for abstract-enough "knowledge" that provides us with insights and intuition. It is one closely tied to our existence as "thinking" beings. There is another concept of information as an intrinsic property of nature, whereby an object such as a point charge perturbs the gauge field, that somehow instantaneously tells all other existing charges that it exists and affects and is affected by by the field potential according to exact dynamics.

Thus no matter what physical distance exists between two point charges, they and their effect on and by their field potentials are "aware" of each other's existence - within the limits of the natural interaction.
For instance, the electromagnetic and gravitational forces have seemingly infinite distances of influence, whereas the strong or color force only has an effect within very small distances.

These could be interesting ideas, then again, pseudoscience is also a common refuge of the scoundrel.

...

PS. Tagging this as pneumatics which is that area of inquiry or outlook that navigates the exact formal/mathematical physics while accomodating as coherently as possible elements of theology and spiritual dogma. This post is mainly a refresher for my mind on past ideas.
