Ableton Live 9 32-bit or 64-bit

There is not much difference in performance between the 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Live 9, however there's a catch. The 64-bit version does not host 32-bit VST plugins - without the use of a third party tool.

Ableton has a very convenient page and Q&A on the differences - between the two editions of Ableton Live 9, "64-bit Myth and Facts".

In effect, it does not differ in performance, except in the ability of using more RAM with plugins or "Ableton sets" that require it.

To host 32-bit VST plugins however, this article, also at the Ableton website, "How can I use and maintain my 32-bit VST plug-ins with the 64-bit version of Live using jBridge on Windows?" says that "third party tools such as jBridge" make that possible.
